This week, Denver's permitting process for building housing is being streamlined to make the process simpler and cheaper. More affordable housing could be headed to the University building at 900 16th Street, and there could be affordable space for artists at 444 17th Street under a proposed agreement with the Downtown Development Authority.
And an ordinance to protect people's sex and gender identity from biased policies across the country was presented. The new rules would reduce any unnecessary sex or gender documentation, and prohibit the city and county from sharing any information collected to investigations that target trans and gender expansive people.
