This week, the Health and Safety Committee sent to the full council some potential new rules for municipal sentencing in Denver. The South Platte River Committee heard a briefing from Denver Water on their drought management strategies. Last winter was the warmest and driest winter on record in the South Platte Basin. And the Community Planning and Housing Committee sent to the full Denver City Council a plan to purchase 251 East 12th Ave as part of the Vibrant Denver Bond project. The building is currently owned by the State of Colorado, and the city will turn it into affordable housing.
