This week, members of the Transportation Committee got an update on the city’s shared bike and scooter program. The Department of Transportation gave a progress report on how Veo is transitioning into our city, the successes and the challenges.
The Health and Safety Committee sent to the full Denver City Council a plan to reduce capacity for the city’s ShotSpotter contract, a technology that detects gun shots and alerts law enforcement. The contract will expire at the end of the year and won’t be renewed or replaced with any similar technology.
And the Community Planning Committee sent to the full Denver City Council a one-year continuation plan for the Department of Housing Stability. In 2028, HOST will come up with a long-term plan on how to address housing stability, housing opportunity, and homelessness.
