This week, the Community Planning and Housing Committee heard a presentation from the Department of Human Rights & Community Partnerships on their mediation services program, which helps to resolve conflicts involving City and County of Denver employees, community members, neighborhood groups, zoning and development matters, public safety issues, and quality-of-life concerns.
The Health and Safety Committee sent to the full Denver City Council a proclamation opposing Colorado Constitution Amendment 81, which would require state and local law enforcement to notify federal immigration authorities within 72 hours of charging someone with a crime.
And the Health committee also sent to the full Denver City Council proposed changes to Denver’s Automated Vehicle Identification System. Some new rules would come into effect to align with new state regulations that were passed this summer.
