In December of 2025, Denver's Office of Emergency Management in coordination with city departments and agencies, as well as additional partners from the private sector conducted a training exercise of Denver's Emergency Operation Center.
Go behind the scenes of the exercise as Denver struggles to recover from an early morning tornado on July 29, 2026.
The EOC sections work to facilitate the city's recovery by serving as the central hub for interagency coordination, strategic decision-making, and resource management following the hypothetical disaster. The Training will prepare everyone for the reality of what it takes to achieve a successful recovery. Teams assess damage, prioritize infrastructure repairs, allocate resources, manage public information, and coordinate with state and federal agencies to transition from response to long-term recovery
The goal of the EOC, "Save the city."
